Why notjustasquare?
Seriously, I wondered what got into me to get such a domain in the first place. Most people who are experience in the web would have told how important to get domain names which are easy to remember.
First of all, I have this obsession with squares because of my initials, thus I was trying to to play around with squares. I’ve been playing with my initials and my name since I was 14, when I found out that to find an area of a square, is it x X x = x2. That was awhile back. My only regret is that I didn’t have the foresight to brand it.
As months passes by, I slowly lost my obsession with squares but the domain remain.
Now this is the era of social media, and people are into squares too. Now I’ve seen sites like foursquare.com, squaregirl.com and squarespace.com
Who am I?
I’m a web designer based in Malaysia. I am a design and code dabbler. I learnt design, and along the way I learn some front end coding too. I love how codes can transform a website mock into something interactive. I also believe in making my websites to be standards compliant. Doing this will help make websites more accessible to the masses and this is one way I’m contributing to the mankind online.
Why is this blog set up?
Why ‘sesat’ and the tagline ‘was lost but now trying my way back’?
Sesat is the malay word for ‘lost’. For the four years that I learn multimedia design, I never understood why I was doing it. I left university very uninspired and ‘sesat’ (lost).
I was fortunate to have met people who are passionate about their jobs and this has inspired me to learn more and understand my job better. From there, I did not want to be lost and to be filled with purpose whenever I do my job.
